A Shared Vision for Hardee County’s Future
As the healthcare representative on the EDC/IDA, my role is to bring forward discussions that focus on improving the health of our community, developing sustainable healthcare accessibility, and maintaining strong health facility infrastructure. This advisory role is an important part of the EDC/IDA’s mission to ensure the thoughtful, forward-looking use of the finite funds entrusted to us—always with the goal of improving the lives of Hardee County residents.
Professional and Supportive Board Culture
One of the things I value most about serving on this board is the exceptional collegiality among its members. It’s not something you often see on voluntary boards. Our discussions are open, vigorous, and always thoughtfully constructive. Every member brings a unique perspective, and together we are able to examine issues from all angles. We are also extremely well supported by the staff and leadership of The Development Group. They equip us with clear, current information so we can make decisions with confidence and transparency.
Community Partnership and Public Participation
The EDC/IDA also recognizes the importance of public involvement. Community comments, along with strong participation from the County and City Administrations and the Board of County Commissioners, ensure that our decisions reflect shared priorities. These partnerships allow us to work collaboratively and responsibly—whether we’re addressing infrastructure needs, exploring new economic opportunities, or planning for essential services like healthcare access.
Hardee County is strengthened by the expertise and commitment of the many people who care deeply about its future. I am proud to be part of this collective effort. With our continued collaboration and shared vision, the future of Hardee County is bright and full of promise.
